Chapter 32

Jackie looks at the Dr. examining her and something looked familiar about him but she couldn't put her finger on it. “Stop.” She says. The Dr. didn’t listen. “I said STOP!” With all the voice power she had, it came out louder than it had during the last couple of days. Jon looks at Jackie and then the Dr. and says in a firm voice, “She said Stop so take your hands off her!” Dr. Khan looks at Jackie and then Jon and asks, “What’s wrong?” Acting confused to why he was told to stop an exam, not processing what was going on. “I don’t want anyone touching me!” She stuttered. “I tried I just can’t let you touch me anymore!” Jackie said in a scared but loud voice trying not to sob as she said it. Chapter 31

Jon jumps out of the chair at Derrick for telling him that making arrangements for Jackie to be moved, he jumps up so quickly the back of his leg hits the chair, the chair falls backwards with a loud thud that wakes Jackie up and startles her, and she starts to scream. Jon rushes to the bed and begins talking softly to her to get her calm, "It’s ok, I’m here I just knocked the chair over. Everything is ok shh.” He kept talking to her till she calmed down. She calmed down then in the strongest voice she could muster she says to Jon, “Get your hands off me I don’t want people touching me!” Jon looked at Derrick and then at Jackie in total shock. Chapter 30

  Jon stands near Rocky waiting for him to respond. Rocky looks at Jon  not sure what to say, he turns away from Jon sighing as he does. "Jon, this case is getting so out of hand I don't know what to do or say at times." He said in a ragged voice as he  looks away from the man standing in front of him. Jon looks at the man and says,"This whole thing is nuts, the woman I love is severely injured and is going to  be taken from me for God knows how long, her Dr. is fighting for his life. What am I suppose to do here sit and play tiddly winks?" He was getting angry again this whole thing was way out of control, he just wants to take her home and get her better and they can get on with their life together. Chapter 29

Jon hurries towards the people who were working on Dr. Shelton, "What happened?" Jon asked quickly. Just then he sees Rocky walking in a fast pace toward the group of people with a person who was quickly pushing a gurney towards the group of people. Jon hears someone shout, "CLEAR!" he sees Dr. Shelton's body jerk from the AED put electricity in his body to get his heart beating again. He then sees someone put in an IV, he then sees an IV bag being attached to the IV site. A back board appears from some where. Then he sees the Dr. being rolled on his side, the back board slid under him, then was rolled onto the back board, lifted up and placed on the gurney. Once he was on the gurney someone was getting blood from him. Someone then says, "He's got a slight pulse but we have one!" He watches as they go into a room across from Jackie's room. Chapter 28

Jon rushes to the hospital, forgetting his disguise, he remembers as he's walking to the elevator as he hurries back to the car and pops the trunk and grabs the disguise he puts it on and quickly walks towards the elevator and as he gets to the elevator and pushes the button to make it arrive, paces as he waits the longest 30 seconds. Finally the wait ends for the doors, they slide open, then he steps inside and pushes the button again waiting as the floors tick by which felt like an eternity, the doors finally slide open, and he walks towards the ICU, a long never ending corridor he has to walk through when he finally gets the doors, and they open he quickly walks towards Jackie's room and slides open the door and then pulls the curtain aside, walks in and sees Jackie still badly bruised as her eyes flutter her body jerks then her eyes fly open. Jackie runs to Toby and falls to her knees at Toby's side and  rolls him on his side as Jon calls 911, Jake and Romeo come running down the hall when they heard the shout they yell "What's going on?" They look at what is happening and are scared. Jackie looks at the boys quickly and says in a hurried voice, "Go in my room and grab the file in my top drawer then go in my closet and grab the small black bag hanging on the hook please and hurry!" The boys take off and then Jon is at Jackie's side and says as he gets on the floor beside her, "They are sending an ambulance they should be here soon."  The boys come running back from Jackie's room with the bag and the file."Hand me the bag please." Chapter 26

Before Jackie went to find Jon she had to kiss Toby good night, she doesn't want to break her word to him that was just as important to her  as talking to Jon is.
