Love Lies

Jon hurries towards the people who were working on Dr. Shelton, "What happened?" Jon asked quickly. Just then he sees Rocky walking in a fast pace toward the group of people with a person who was quickly pushing a gurney towards the group of people. Jon hears someone shout, "CLEAR!" he sees Dr. Shelton's body jerk from the AED put electricity in his body to get his heart beating again. He then sees someone put in an IV, he then sees an IV bag being attached to the IV site. A back board appears from some where. Then he sees the Dr. being rolled on his side, the back board slid under him, then was rolled onto the back board, lifted up and placed on the gurney. Once he was on the gurney someone was getting blood from him. Someone then says, "He's got a slight pulse but we have one!" He watches as they go into a room across from Jackie's room. Jon watches as they work on him, they hooked him up to a monitor and he hears the heart beat beating that ...

Jon rushes to the hospital, forgetting his disguise, he remembers as he's walking to the elevator as he hurries back to the car and pops the trunk and grabs the disguise he puts it on and quickly walks towards the elevator and as he gets to the elevator and pushes the button to make it arrive, paces as he waits the longest 30 seconds. Finally the wait ends for the doors, they slide open, then he steps inside and pushes the button again waiting as the floors tick by which felt like an eternity, the doors finally slide open, and he walks towards the ICU, a long never ending corridor he has to walk through when he finally gets the doors, and they open he quickly walks towards Jackie's room and slides open the door and then pulls the curtain aside, walks in and sees Jackie still badly bruised as her eyes flutter her body jerks then her eyes fly open. Jackie runs to Toby and falls to her knees at Toby's side and  rolls him on his side as Jon calls 911, Jake and Romeo come running down the hall when they heard the shout they yell "What's going on?" They look at what is happening and are scared. Jackie looks at the boys quickly and says in a hurried voice, "Go in my room and grab the file in my top drawer then go in my closet and grab the small black bag hanging on the hook please and hurry!" The boys take off and then Jon is at Jackie's side and says as he gets on the floor beside her, "They are sending an ambulance they should be here soon."  The boys come running back from Jackie's room with the bag and the file."Hand me the bag please." Jake hands the bag to Jackie and watches as she opens it and she pulls out a syringe and a vile she inserts the needle and pulls back the plunger the for right dose pulls the needle out and then she grabs a small package of alcohol wipes open...

Before Jackie went to find Jon she had to kiss Toby good night, she doesn't want to break her word to him that was just as important to her  as talking to Jon is. She walks into Toby's room she as sits on the edge of his bed runs she her hand through his hair to brush it out of his eyes as he looks up at her and smiles then it fades "Mama you look sad." he said looking at her. "I'm sad a little but happy to see you awake so I can tell you I love you before you go to sleep." she says with a small smile on her face as she leans in to kiss him on his for head. Toby sits up and hugs her, it just about took her breath away she just wants to cry but she holds it in. Toby kisses her then yawns "ok Mama I love you I sleep now." he tells her as she covers him up. "Good night Little one I love you see you in the morning." She says as she leans in to kiss him. As they walked towards the tent Jackie is in awe of what  Jon has done and asks "what did I do to deserve this?" looking at the tent with the candles, hearing music playing she feels Jon pulling her towards him looking up at him she sees his smile looking down at her, she  hears him say "Will you dance with me?" he asks her in a soft voice. "You didn't answer my question, but yes I'd love to." she said as she stepped into his arms and they start to sway to the beat of the music. Jon loved having her in his arms he felt like home with a breath of fresh air blowing in through the window as the curtains flapped with the breeze. He knew he was so head over heals in love with her, he  hoped he would show her tonight how he felt. He was a bit nervous he almost felt like a teenager wanting to ask the popular girl out on a date. Jon enjoyed the time talking to his kids he misses them when he’s away, this time was different they can’t come to him like they could if he was on tour. Sitting on the side of the bed he kicked off his shoes he bends down to take off his socks. He can hear Jackie-Rae crying in the distance of the house he then sees the hall light turn on and someone walking down the hall. A few minutes later the light goes back off and the baby stopped fussing, assumed someone went to warm up a bottle. That made him smile thinking of the many nights he warmed up bottles over the years. Walking the floors, while bouncing a baby in his arms. He missed a lot of the kids’ school plays or concerts, he hoped they understood he hopes they know he’s always a phone call away. Jon hears his phone beep. Hey how’s it goin? I’m ok where are you? The next morning Dr. Shelton  comes in Jon jumps up from the chair after a restless night sleep “ good morning  doc are still  taking her off the vent?” Jon asks as he watches the Dr. Take his stethoscope  from around his neck, “Jon good morning, yes that is the plan I’m going to do a quick assessment and I will take her off of it. I feel she is ready to come off.  Her x-rays look good it shows the lung  is healing she will have a lot of pain from it and the ribs she has a long recovery  a head of her. I did start tapering her off the pain meds and the sleep meds I want her to wake up see how she is emotionally.” The Dr. Said he placed his stethoscope  in his ears listens  to her lungs, he then moved to the abdomen he slid the stethoscope  under her back moved it to different locations trying not to move  her around to much. The Dr. Finished up the assessment, makes some notes then looks at Jon and says “everything sounds good we wi...

Jon is pushed aside he watches the bed go flat, someone push a blue button on the wall then hears  "CODE BLUE IN ICU ROOM 2088 CODE BLUE ICU ROOM 2088” Jon watches people fly into the room each taking part in working  on her he hears “Her stats are dropping! BP is falling.” Jon then sees Dr. Shelton enter the room then he puts his stethoscope on and listens to her heart and lungs he then he puts it around his neck pulls back the cover and yells “get me an OR stat!” a nurse runs out of the room “Rocky look at this!” Dr. Shelton  states pointing  to her abdomen Rocky looks at her belly sees it’s distended “her belly is hard and distended she is bleeding inside.” The Dr. states firmly  the nurse rushes back in tells the Dr. They have an OR the bed is unplugged the IV is detached from her and the door is pushed open and the bed and the medical staff rush out the door and down the hall he watches till he can no longer see them as they rush down the hall.
